Mizuno Wave Rider 13 Review
The Mizuno Wave Rider has long been a favorite of neutral runners looking for a forgiving, speedy shoe. The 13th iteration of this shoe is no exception. The Wave Rider 13 continues to have a superb fit with a cushy but not bulky midsole. Our testers were impressed at how cushioned this shoe felt while at the same time having a low to the ground ride. The 13 has changed little from last year’s model save for a redesigned collar and what Mizuno calls ‘flex eyelets’ for a super plush but locked-in fit. The upper is composed of high-quality materials with super breathable but not stretchy mesh and limited reinforcements in key areas. The 2010 Wave Rider 13 is also lighter than last year’s version, tipping the scales at only 10.5oz. We think the Wave Rider 13 is a perfect shoe for the fast, efficient runner looking for a racer-like fit with enough cushion to pound out long miles. Mizuno offer this shoe in regular (D) width as well as wide (2E)- kudos Mizuno!
