Mountain Khakis All Mountain Pant gets Update
The All Mountain Khakis Pant by Mountain Khakis is widely known for it’s comfort and fit among outdoor lovers and city folks. I’ve had the opportunity to test out the original mountain pant for the past 6-7 years and it’s always been one of my favorites. The All Mountain Pant has two different fits, relaxed and slim fit to allow for different body types and style preferences. The updated version of the All Mountain Pant reduced the material thickness used which makes this pant great for spring/summer/fall temperatures. The original mountain pant weighed 10.4 oz, the new all mountain pant weighs 6.2 oz.
Different Weight, Same Features
The features in the new all mountain pant are the same as the original mountain pant including a gusseted crotch, triple stitch seams, Mountain Khakis famous mudflap reinforced heel cuffs and extra fabric on the inside of the waistband to keep the waist from stretching out too much.
The All Mountain Pant comes in three color options, Freestone (light khaki color), Firma(dark khaki color), and Yellowstone (closer to traditional khaki color with a hint of yellow). I opted for Firma and I find the color goes great with a number of shirt combinations.
Mountain Khakis All Mountain Pant Fit
I’ve been wearing the relaxed fit of the All Mountain Pant which is a little baggier compared to a traditional straight leg fit. The relaxed fit is suitable in more relaxed work atmosphere’s, but they might be a little too baggy for more professional work environments. In casual settings, anything goes. I enjoy the looser fit where it’s appropriate as I tend to be in a little more relaxed mindset. My wife tends to think they are a little too baggy. Having tried on the slim fit in the past, I felt the fit was a little too slim for my preference. My current testing weight is 168 lbs and I am 6’0 ft tall.
I tested out a size 32×32 and found the fit to be spot on compared to other 32×32 pant fits.
Bonus – Mountain Khakis Tatanka Shirt – $64.95
In addition to the All Mountain Pant, I also tested out the MK Tatanka Shirt was has quickly become a favorite of mine in the button up short sleeve category. The tiny bison on the shirt is what drew me to the shirt. It’s kind of like a J-Crew shirt, but instead of lobsters or crabs, you get some sweet looking bison! This shirt is made from 100% cotton, so it’s super soft to the touch and looks great on.
If you’ve ever read any of my past Mountain Khaki reviews, you’ll notice I am a big fan of the brand. I think they do a great job with creating their own niche that no other brand has been able to replicate. Between the All Mountain Pant and the Tatanka shirt, I continue to be a believer in Mountain Khakis.
