EcoSurvivor Bluetooth Speaker Review
Jasco released a new brand of outdoor tech products known as EcoSurvivor. These outdoor tech accessories include rugged LED lanterns, water-resistant battery packs, a Bluetooth speaker and more. The amazing thing about EcoSurvivor is not just their durable and rugged products, but the fact that they have partnered with MMA fighter, Justin Wren; who together are helping the fight to end the water crisis by pledging 50 percent of EcoSurvivor’s net proceeds to clean water projects with Water4 – a nonprofit organization empowering people to eradicate their own water crisis through entrepreneurship, education and technology. What a Great cause! So, it would be nice if their product was Great as well. I managed to get a hold of the EcoSurvivor Bluetooth Speaker to find out.
Power and Play
The EcoSurvivor Bluetooth speaker easily and quickly paired to my smartphone, tablet and computer with zero problems. Turning the speaker on by pressing the power button for five seconds and the blue LED flashes and the speaker goes into pairing mode, it could not have been easier. It should be noted that pairing time can vary with different hardware. The nice thing about the speaker is that it only needs to pair the first time and it will auto connect to the devices which have been already paired before (the speaker can only remember the last 8 paired devices).
The speaker is powered by a rechargeable 4,000 mAH battery that provided 6-8 hours of play time at high volumes, if listen at lower volumes the play time can be extended. When the battery gets below 10% the speaker will indicate that the battery is low and will need to be recharged. The red LED indicators on the speaker show the charged status and will also flash during charging which takes about 5 hours from empty.
The Bluetooth provides a long 30-foot range provided there are no obstacles. Pushing out the tunes are two stereo 40 mm drivers with a passive bass radiator that delivers impressive crisp audio from it’s portable design.
The speaker also features a USB port (1.0A output) that allows you to charge other devices while you listen. The built-in rubber lanyard can be used for convenient carrying or hanging options. Don’t want the lanyard, no problem, it is easily removed with a Phillips screwdriver.
Stands Up to the Elements
The EcoSurvivor Speaker is ready to go virtually anywhere, it is incredibly durable and survived a drop from my two story deck with no ill effects. It is designed to withstand impacts and vibrations, and the IP65 rating means it’s protected from dirt, rain and splashing water.

The EcoSurvivor 50% Promise
When you buy EcoSurvivor products, you will make a difference. EcoSurvivor donates 50% of its net proceeds to Water4, a 501(c)3 charity that is committed to providing at-risk, indigenous people access to clean water. An EcoSurvivor purchase helps their mission of eliminating the world water crisis that impacts nearly 1 billion people and causes over 3 million preventable deaths each year.
Projecting rich audio in both outdoor and indoor environments, the EcoSurvivor Bluetooth Speaker is designed for active listeners carrying this speaker everywhere they roam. Both shockproof and water-resistant, the speaker withstands everyday bumps, lakeside splashes, and light showers without compromising its hi-fi sound. The speaker enables you to pump out loud music, without it being overly harsh or shrill, especially with different genres requiring different sound profiles. The $60 price point falls right in line with other Bluetooth speakers that I have tested of similar build and quality, but what makes the EcoSurvivor the admirable choice, is the fact that 50% of the net proceeds will go to help fight the world water crisis.
