Women’s Brooks Motion Vest Review

Brooks Motion Vest 300x300 Womens Brooks Motion Vest Review

The Brooks Motion Vest has been updated for the 2009 Fall/Winter season. The Motion Vest remains semi-fitted, but now has a wider waistband and ribbed neck, while providing the same warmth and comfort of last years model. The Motion vest is the perfect layer for a cooler weather because it keeps your core warm and can be worn by itself when a full coat is not needed, or can be easily layered for added warmth. The Motion vest utilizes quilted Motion fabric that is made of a polyester/spandex blend and touts a water resistant exterior thanks to a DWR finish. The side panels contain Vapor –Dry; a stretch fabric that helps move sweat away from the body, which is especially important under the arms. We tested the Motion vest while wearing a light long sleeve shirt during various hikes and trail runs. We found that the Motion vest truly keeps you warm and provides wind resistance to gusty winds. The  vest is semi-fitted, which helps to keep heat in when the temperatures are cooler. Testers liked the softness of the vest and the idea of a moisture proof inner pocket, which serves as a nice place to stow your non weatherproof valuables, such as an mp3 player. The added wider waist band is not only a nice accent, but it also helps to keep the vest in place when running around and prevents drafts from chilling you down. Overall, the Motion vest is yet another great product from Brooks. For more information, please visit, Brooksrunning.com
