Brooks Wanganui Softshell Review

The Brooks Wanganui Softshell is the perfect jacket for cold weather running this season.  The Wanganui is waterproof and windproof, sure to keep you sheltered from the elements and keep you dry and warm on the run.  This jacket has a waffle like inner liner that is soft against the skin and adds warmth for those extremely chilly days. We found the jacket to perform well in temperatures down to 10F degrees while running or staying active.  The jacket comes with two side pockets, one chest pocket, and two inner pockets with an MP3 player pocket.  The Wanganui comes with a HVAC lined collar which is composed of silver fibers that help regulate your body temperature, but as much as we wanted this feature to wow us, we didn’t see a big difference.  The Brooks Wanganui Softshell had a great fit with testers because it moved well with our body on the run and it had a sporty stylish look while out on the town.  The Wanganui’s MSRP is $150 which would be considered a little expensive for the typical running jacket, but we feel that you will be able to use this jacket for a number of activities and we feel the jacket will last for years to come, making it a great deal.  For more information on the Brooks Wanganui Softshell Jacket, please visit BrooksRunning.com
