One of the most notable differences this year is the new lacing system. The asymmetrical lacing system allows the shoe to wrap around the foot and reduce irritation, the cause of many blisters.  Asics was also able to reduce the weight by close to an ounce from last years model, which is pretty big news in the footwear industry. Our testers felt this shoe gave great support on runs of all distances and it is well cushioned, especially for a support shoe.     I LOVE these shoes! I got the blue ones in size 6. They were perfect for track and cross country. I love them! They look great on your feet and very, very comfy. I started wearing them everyday as my regular shoes. They got pretty worn out. Eventually my mom threw them out….
