Wigwam Socks with Outlast Review
As someone who loves to get their heart rate pounding while skiing, running, hiking, etc, it’s important for me to have my gear help regulate my body temperature. This includes moisture wicking shirts, pants, hats, underwear, and socks. I’ve recently been testing out a few pair of Wigwam socks with Outlast incorporated into them, and I may have just found a pair of socks to add to the keeper pile. Now if you haven’t noticed, there are a million sock companies coming out of the woodworks lately, some good and some not so good. Wigwam has been around since the early 1900′s and has seemed to been able to get sock making right over the years. In the specific socks that we tested incorporated the Outlast technology that assist with regulating your body temperature. While out hiking, my feet will often heat up over time and that makes the hike a little less enjoyable. When testing the socks on 12 hour hikes, we didn’t notice as difference towards the end of the hike because if you are on your feet for that length of time, your feet start to get a little sore and uncomfortable no matter what socks you are wearing.

I’ve used these socks before and have been fairly happy with them. However the last two pairs I bought have unraveled the first time I washed them. The company says I need to ship them back to them for a refund. Somehow it just seems absurd to spend 50% of what I paid for them to ship them back. I won’t be buying these again.
