prAna Amaya Tank Review

Amaya 300x280 prAna Amaya Tank Review

The Amaya top by prAna is a multifunctional tank for sure. I have worn this tank to yoga, for a run, or to a quick happy hour in the neighborhood. Each time, I have felt completely covered and a little sassy with the colorful print. The Amaya is made from Chakara performance fabric which made of 45% recycled polyester, 45% regular polyester, and 10% spandex. The awesome combo creates a super soft moisture wicking fabric. prAna says that the pattern or fabrics color should not fade with washing; I have had my tank for about a month and it has endured about 10 washes on cold with some light tumble drying. The pattern remains bright so far and the tank still has its’ original shape, no shrinking, yeah!

The tank has 1” wide straps and an internal shelf bra. However, if you need a tad more support for high impact activities, a racer-back sports bra with skinny straps can be worn underneath and will not stick out too much. I usually do this when wearing the top for a run.

I love how the gathering of fabric in the chest area. I am not large in this area and appreciate the added detail to keep me from looking too boyish in a tank. The wide band of fabric, under the shelf bra, adds a bit of flare to the tank and from that point the tank angles out a bit so that the tank is more roomy towards the hips, which I love. The tank runs true to size.

I can’t really think of a downside to this tank as of yet, and am looking forward to picking up another color to add to my collection. For more information, check out prAna.com
