Columbia Silver Ridge SS and LS Top Review

Columbia’s Silver Ridge Knit Short Sleeve and Long Sleeve Tops look like your typical cotton tee, but are so much more. The Silver Ridge line includes a wide range of technical tops, shorts, and pants. The Silver Ridge Knit SS and LS tops are 100% polyester and incorporate Columbia’s well-known Omni-Shade and Omni-Dry technologies. Omni-Shade provides a UPF rating of 15, while Omni-Dry works for you to manage moisture and enhance breathability. We found these tops to be best suited for low to moderate intensity activities. On high intensity exercise in the heat the tops were less quick drying that other tops on the market. We found the SS to run a tad larger than the LS, which made layering the pieces a tad difficult. The center back length is 26”, which we really liked when wearing a pack because our back and tummy remained completely covered. The tops have a more generous fit and we recommend sizing down one size for more athletic individuals. The Silver Ridge Knit SS and LS are available for $30 and $35, which we feel is a great deal.
