Marmot Plush Jacket Review

Plush Jacket 233x300 Marmot Plush Jacket Review

This spring we have noticed a trend, the reemergence of pastels and the incorporation of super soft fabrics into casual and active apparel for women. Marmot has combined both features into the Plush Jacket, one of their latest additions to the Spring 2010 line. The Plush Jacket has a snuggly soft-brushed fleece outer. The inner lining has a patterned finish that adds style and truly sets this jacket apart from your typical fleece jacket. The Plush also has a hood that showcases the patterned lining and provides some added warmth on a chilly morning. The hood can’t be cinched, which we feel would have been a nice feature for windy conditions.

The jacket has an added mesh lining that not only houses the internal zipper pocket, but also adds a second layer for added warmth and wind protection for your core. Outer handwarmer pockets and a feminine fit make this jacket feel like your favorite hoodie and not just another jacket. We wore the Plush Jacket around town over a t-shirt and received many compliments about the color and the soft feel. We tested out the color mist and it reminded us of being a kid again due to its youthful hue and pattern. The Plush retails for $100 which may seem a little steep at first, but with this jacket you are getting a piece that can be layered or worn by itself, making it quite versatile. In the warmer months, Shannon enjoys exploring the Colorado backcountry with her friends and dogs and attempts to escape for as many trail runs as her schedule allows. Shannon is a great women’s tester because she gives readers true insight into how a product may perform for an active woman.
