Helly Hansen Women’s Aspen Jacket Review
The Aspen Jacket is an invaluable soft shell that offers protection from wind, rain showers, and snowfall. The Aspen utilizes Helly Hansen’s Helly Tech 2 layer technology which provides a waterproof rating of 10K and a breathablitity rating of 10,000g. In layman’s terms, the Aspen jacket will keep you dry by allowing rain drops to bead on the outer layer of the jacket while also letting heat that you produce evaporate to the outside, keeping you dry on the inside. The jacket comes with a detachable hood that is helmet compatible for skiing and ice climbing adventures. There are three external stash pockets, an internal media pocket for mp3 players, and a large mesh internal pocket that can hold a water bottle or your lunch. Testers raved about the feminine fit of the jacket and extra long arms that allowed for complete wrist coverage while on the slopes or hiking on the trail. The lower hem cinches and the wrists have adjustable velcro to provide a tight seal against the elements. Overall, the Aspen is a great jacket that can be used for hiking in the rain, an outer shell for winter activities, or an attractive around town jacket on chilly days.
