Soul T2 300x280 prAna Soul T Review

prAna asks the question, can a t-shirt initiate global change? It seems that the answer is yes! prAna is one of five companies in the USA that have produced a Fair Trade Certified garment. The Soul T, featured above and aptly named has done some serious traveling by the time it enters your closet. The top is comprised of 100% organic cotton that is super soft to the touch and has been sewn in Liberia by the Liberian Women’s Sewing Project. The Liberian Women’s Sewing Project is a non-profit organization that aims at educating and empowering Liberian women to evoke change in their communities and enter the global market. Teaming up with prAna seems like a perfect match, as prAna has been long known for their ability to produce stellar garments while promoting positive change and being a leader with their sustainability practices.

Putting on the Soul T kind of gives you a since of pride or satisfaction knowing that the best work practices were used to produce your garment. Here is a video to help understand the story behind your special tee: http://www.prana.com/blog/2011/03/29/can-one-tee-initiate-global-change/

The top comes in sizes XS to XL and is available in 3 fun colors. Runs true to size, hits just at the hips. Line dry for best results and to avoid minor shrinking.

In the future, prAna hopes to push the boundaries and offer more Fair Trade Certified garments to their consumers. Congrats to prAna for taking the outdoor clothing world into uncharted waters, a practice we hope to see more of.

About the Author

Shannon, our fabulous female tester, takes gear testing to a new level for women. When not at work or school, she is most likely training for a marathon, climbing one of Colorado’s tallest peaks, riding her road bike, or skiing down a mountain slope. Like many women, Shannon gets cold easily, therefore, we try to test the best all weather gear to help her stay warm and dry during all day outdoor pursuits. In the warmer months, Shannon enjoys exploring the Colorado backcountry with her friends and dogs and attempts to escape for as many trail runs as her schedule allows. Shannon is a great women’s tester because she gives readers true insight into how a product may perform for an active woman.
