Columbia Northern Peak II Full Zip Review

The Columbia Northern Peak II Full Zip is a good choice whether you’re looking for a casual jacket for the fall/early winter season or need a little warm while out doing your favorite activities.  The Northern Peak II has a brushed polyester durafleece outer and a fuzzy fleece next to skin inner.  It is a fairly lightweight fleece sweater for the most part with a nice sporty look.  We found the Northern Peak II to be a little drafty when out in the wind, so if you are in colder weather, we suggest wearing a long sleeve shirt under vs. a tee shirt.  We liked the multiuse of the jacket as we could use it for our hikes and still feel comfortable getting a frosty beverage after.  Our impression is that this piece would be good for hiking or to use as a baselayer sking/snowboarding, but would be a little less effective for activities such as running where you can build up a lot of sweat.  For more information on the Columbia Northern Peak II Full Zip, please visit Columbia.com
