Testers found this shoe to run a tad on the large side and had to size down ½ to 1 full size. The shoe offers a roomy toe box and flexible outsole, which is composed of Contragrip to provide traction in unsteady conditions. Testers enjoyed the soft Ortholite sockliner that adds to moisture control. Testers reported that their heel often slipped out of the heel cup and recommended that an additional lace loop might solve this problem. This shoe was used on all day hikes and testers reported that the shoe is more flexible and therefore obstacles are felt more in the forefoot region towards the end of the day.
