Tram Bars Review

DSC 0484 300x199 Tram Bars ReviewAs I am always getting outside and away from my home kitchen, it’s important for me to be able to eat healthy, good tasting food on the go.  I recently caught eye of a new energy bar company called Tram Bar and thought to myself, I have to try these!  Tram Bar is based out of Jackson Hole, where outdoor enthusiast take their gear and food serious.  The company started with an outdoor enthusiast, Kate Schade making energy bars for her outdoor and athletic lifestyle and the word caught on that she made a kick-ass energy bar.  As more friends and people that knew Kate to make bars for them, Kate knew she had something right, but wasn’t sure she could make it all work.  At that point, friends of Kate thought this was something that she had to pursue, so the whole gang helped her get Tram Bar started.

As far as taste goes, we really liked the Grizzly Bear Bar, it seemed to have the perfect blend of chocolate, raisins, rolled oats, peanut butter, and all other sorts of tastey ingredients.  Now all these ingrediants combine to make a super tasty bar, but you have to be careful that you don’t eat too many of these in one sitting.  The nutrition elements of this bar can scare some people off because there is 16 grams of fat in one bar.  This is pretty high, but those fats do include a lot of good fats, so we haven’t worried too much.  As far as calories goes, the original Tram Bar has 360 calories.  Wow I say!  But… if you are out for a long day of hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, etc, it’s important to replace those lost calories to keep your energy levels up.

Today, Tram Bars can be found in a number of retail stores in a lot of outdoorsy cities and states and is growing it’s distribution every day.
