Osprey Aether 70 Review
We found ourselves to be fortunate to test out the Osprey Aether 70. With a 4,200 cubic inch capacity, we found this pack to be convenient on our colder weekend trips and 3-5 day backpacking trips. Since we test out most of our gear in the Rocky Mountains, we often have to carry both summer gear and winter gear, so having enough room is a necessity. We found the pack to have a great internal support system, allowing for a comfortable, yet stable fit. We actually thought this pack had the best fit of all the packs we tested. Outside of the fit, the pack also does a nice job at staying off your back, preventing moisture build up. The pack also accommodates those who look to use the pack for multiple activities as it comes with ski straps, ice axe loops, and an extendible lid that adjust for packing extra gear. We’ve always been happy with Osprey Packs and their quality, but it seems that this pack has met every need we could think of. One of the features that this pack and many other Osprey packs have is the removable top pocket for when you want to take day trips away from your camp. The top pocket becomes a hip pack that can store water, food, and a jacket, which are pretty much the necessities when getting out for a day hike.
